Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers, made from Hyaluronic Acid, are one of the most popular non-surgical volume-enhancing treatments available. They are used to reduce facial lines and wrinkles, to restore plumpness and volume to the lips and cheeks, and can ultimately redefine the shape of the face.  Dermal fillers have proven to give safe, long-lasting and give natural-looking results.

At AR Aesthetics clinic, we only use hyaluronic acid-based, MHRA approved dermal filler products. This quality product ensures the safest and gentlest treatment for clients, administered by a member of our experienced clinic team.

FAQs

What are dermal fillers?

Derma fillers are derived from hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally within the dermis of our skin. Dermal fillers are safe and have proven effective in restoring lost volume in areas such as the lips, cheeks and face.

What products do you use?

There are many derma fillers on the market that are substandard but at AR Aesthetics we only use MHRA approved, market leading brands such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Belotero. These temporary fillers provide safe, lasting and effective results for our clients.

How long does a procedure take?

This will depend on the specific treatment undertaken, however, a single dermal filler treatment will typically last between 20-30 minutes. There is no significant downtime needed, with patients normally able to return to everyday activity almost immediately.

Please note: for all new clients an initial consultation followed by a cooling-off period is required prior to the procedure.

Is the treatment painful?

Although the procedure can be somewhat uncomfortable, an appropriate anaesthetic can be used to ensure that clients remain as comfortable as possible during the procedure. During the initial consultation, an experienced member of the AR Aesthetics clinical team will confirm with clients if any anaesthetic is needed.

How long do results last?

Dermal filler treatments typically last from 6-18 months.

What about aftercare?

Depending on the person and the area of skin being treated, a dermal filler treatment will typically last from six to 18 months.

Will I receive any aftercare?

At AR Aesthetics, all clients receive up to two weeks aftercare following their procedure.  This is to ensure clients are happy with their treatment and receive the utmost care and attention at all times.
